what's does speesees mean, anyways?
s-p-e-e-s-e-e-s is the way a baby would spell 'species', if a baby could spell. inspired by our animal, plant, and human speesees, the line originally began in 2003 with a series of phonetically-spelled animal species ('chik, 'kid, 'see hors, 'pup, je' raf), featuring an animal speesees on the front of a garment and its phonetic pronunciation on the back.

and as do all speesees, we've since evolved.

Sckoon

Organic Baby Clothes with High Style. Sckoon Organics is a NY based, unique brand (retail & wholesale) of designer organic cotton baby clothes, baby kimonos and eco-friendly organic plush toys.

These days, lots of companies are "going green", which we think is great, but here at Sckoon, buzz words are not enough, which is why we offer unique, cool, trendy and comfortable organic cotton baby clothes.

Sckoon products are designed in Soho, New York, manufactured at our environmental conscience fair trade factories in Egypt, India & Japan, and certified by Demeter (international biodynamic certification board) and AGRECO (USDA Accredited Certifying Agent).

KidsOnRoof

Kidsonroof was established in 2005 by Romy Boesveldt and Ilya Yashkin. Together with their 3 kids and their little friends they manage a permanent testlab where new ideas keep coming up. A few weeks per year they go back to an old-fashioned simplicity when spending time in their little shed in the southern French mountains without electricity or running water.

Back to the source of life! Kidsonroof wishes to re-connect modern life with nature, rediscovering basic values. Kidsonroof offers an ecological approach to the act of playing. Stimulating creativity and imagination lies at the heart of Kidsonroofs products.

Ilya has been trained as an architectural designer (Marchi in Moscow and Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. His designs are ingeniously three dimensional and very associative. Romy takes care of the conceptual development and styling.
